A1 Trunk Road at Thorntonloch Resurfacing works – 5th to 13th July

BEAR Scotland, on behalf of Transport Scotland, are planning to carry out essential resurfacing works on the A1 Trunk Road at Thorntonloch.

The works are programmed to be carried out under a full road closure between 7:30pm – 6am from Monday 5th July to Tuesday 13th July, with no works planned to be undertaken during the weekends. A signed diversion route will be in place between Old Craighall Roundabout and Berwick Bypass via the A720, A68, A697 and A6105, which adds an estimated 26 minutes and 6.6 miles to affected journeys

Access for emergency vehicles will be maintained at all times and physical distancing measures in line with Scottish Government guidance will be in place on site to ensure the safety of site staff. Local access will also be maintained throughout the duration of the works, although some disruption is inevitable.

If you require any further information on any of the proposed works please do not hesitate to contact Scott Dodds by email at SEConsultationRoads@bearscotland.co.uk.
