Level zero has ended with almost all of the remaining anti-Covid measures in Scotland now removed. On Saturday, The First Minister said that Scotland was in a “much better position” with Covid-19 than could have been expected at the start of summer, but she also urged Scots to “continue to take sensible precautions” despite many of the legal coronavirus rules being lifted. Spaces for People introduce Temporary Changes to Our Town Streets

East Lothian Council has successfully secured £1.4m of Spaces for People funding to introduce a series of temporary changes to streets to provide more space for people to access businesses in our town centres and to exercise whilst observing current physical distancing health guidelines. Many local shops have been able to re-open for business this week and these temporary changes are focused on protecting public health, supporting social distancing and preventing a second wave of the outbreak by providing necessary space.
