BEAR Scotland is launching a recruitment drive in South East Scotland – spanning Edinburgh to the English border. There are up to 50 local job opportunities for all levels of highway maintenance operative.

Last year BEAR Scotland began an eight-year contract to manage and maintain the trunk road network in South East Scotland on behalf of Transport Scotland.

Help Shape The Future Of Smarter Travel In Your Area, Drop-In at Bleachingfield, 2nd September, 3pm

east lothain on the move logo 305x250East Lothian Council and the Dunbar and East Linton Area Partnership would like to hear from you to help improve the choices local people have about the way they travel.

A drop-in session will be held in Bleachingfield Centre, Dunbar on Wednesday 2nd September from 3pm-6:30pm.

Find out about initiatives in your area, meet with transport planners and tell them how local public transport works for you and what could make it easier to use.

There will also be an opportunity to take part in a workshop from 6:30pm-8pm to discuss what is needed in your area to help people travel smarter.
