Traffic Restrictions for Dunbar Civic Week Saturday 13th June

DIVERSION-SIGN-ARROW-LEFTEast Lothian Council will implement traffic restrictions on Saturday 13th June in order to facilitate Dunbar Civic Week events. Dunbar High Street will be closed to through traffic from West Port to Abbeylands between the hours of 10am to 5pm. Pedestrian and emergency vehicle access will be maintained.

Dunbar & District Twinning Association Annual Scholarship Award

France scholarshipThe committee of the Dunbar and District Twinning Association is offering support to enable a young person to visit our twin town of Lignieres in central France in the summer of 2015.
Who is eligible: a young person over the age of 17 years at the time of the visit whose family resides in the Dunbar area. 2 young people going at the same time would be encouraged.
How do you apply: Anyone wishing to take this opportunity should apply in writing explaining why they would benefit from the scholarship and send it to the secretary of the twinning association Fay Stanton, Mayfield, North Road, Dunbar.
Reason for visit: to improve French language skills, to obtain work experience in another country, to experience a different culture or a mixture of these.

Call for Nominations to Chair the Dunbar & East Linton Area Partnership

Nominations are now open for the position of Chair of the Dunbar and East Linton Area Partnership, and all members are encouraged to consider nominating for this key local leadership post. The position of chairperson is a voluntary post open to residents of the Dunbar & East Linton area aged 16+. Local residents looking for a chance to make a difference in their community are encouraged to apply.
