Berwick Bank and Marr Bank Offshore Wind Farms

Located in the North Sea, in the outer Firth of Forth, Berwick Bank and Marr Bank offshore wind developments have the potential to deliver around 3.2GW of installed capacity, making them Scotland’s largest offshore wind farms.

Formerly known as Seagreen 2&3, Berwick Bank wind farm and Marr Bank wind farm are two distinct projects in the early stages of development, both being taken forward by SSE Renewables. The proposals are located next to one another and are over 40km off the coast of East Lothian. The consented Seagreen 1 offshore wind farm, which is in the early stages of construction and can be visited here, is a separate sister project and is located to the north of Berwick Bank wind farm and Marr Bank wind farm, 27km off the coast of Angus.

Berwick Bank wind farm and Marr Bank wind farm could bring a wealth of opportunity for businesses of all sizes across a wide range of disciplines and SSE Renewables are aiming to utilise as many local, Scottish and UK based suppliers where possible throughout all stages of development and operation.

SSE Renewables and SSE Transmission have teamed up with STEM Returners to develop a programme designed to support those who’ve taken a career break or are looking to return to the sector. If you have STEM skills and want to restart your career after a break, our STEM returners programme could be for you.
