Stenton Flower Show 2015, Saturday 5th September, 2:30-4:30pm

Stenton Flower-ShowStenton Flower Show will be held in Stenton Village Hall on Saturday 5th September. Doors will be open at 2:30pm with the opening ceremony at 3pm. The show will close at 4:30pm.

All entries are from the Stenton,  Spott and Whittingehame parishes and from Biel Estate. Within this community the show aims to be as inclusive as possible to enable all amateur and professional gardeners the opportunity to display their favourite produce. There is also a large children’s section incorporating art and craft work. Examples of the range of entries can be seen at www.stentonhorties.co.uk.

Help Shape The Future Of Smarter Travel In Your Area, Drop-In at Bleachingfield, 2nd September, 3pm

east lothain on the move logo 305x250East Lothian Council and the Dunbar and East Linton Area Partnership would like to hear from you to help improve the choices local people have about the way they travel.

A drop-in session will be held in Bleachingfield Centre, Dunbar on Wednesday 2nd September from 3pm-6:30pm.

Find out about initiatives in your area, meet with transport planners and tell them how local public transport works for you and what could make it easier to use.

There will also be an opportunity to take part in a workshop from 6:30pm-8pm to discuss what is needed in your area to help people travel smarter.

Tennis on the Road, Haddinton Tennis Club, Thursday August 20th 4:30pm-6pm

tennis on the roadTennis is taking to the roads around Scotland to bring tennis to a new generation of children. Based on the games Judy Murray played with sons Andy and Jamie, Judy and her coaching team will be aiming to give parents, coaches, teachers and volunteers the tools needed to get kids playing the game and developing tennis in Scotland.

“Tennis on the Road” will be visiting Haddington Tennis Club, East Lothian on Thursday 20th August 2015 between 16.30-18.00. If you are interested in attending with your children, please contact tennisontheroad@img.com or call +44 20 8233 6410.
