It is the Councils intention to undertake carriageway resurfacing/repair work on the above road, commencing on Monday 24th February for 4 weeks, weather permitting. The extent of the main surfacing works and diversion route are shown on the drawing, DRG. NO. EL20769053-003 and TTRO. Works will be undertaken in three phases with traffic management as follows:-
Phases 1 and 2
In order to comply with current health and safety legislation, it will be necessary to close the road to through traffic between 09.00 and 16.00 commencing 24th February for 2 weeks, Monday to Friday only. Local access for residents will be granted where practicable whilst emergency vehicle access will be maintained at all times.
The diversion route will be via Innerwick village and the local diversion route will be signed. During phases 1 & 2 the Borders buses 253 will not be able to operate via Innerwick. The 253 will terminate all Innerwick services at Spot roundabout.
Phase 3
Commencing 9th March for 2 weeks the road will be open to vehicular traffic under temporary traffic lights with all bus services operating as normal. Delays may be experienced during this phase.
The above phases are subject to change should we experience inclement weather.

Following an incident in Dunbar whereby a lady has been scammed out of a five figure sum, Police are reminding people to be extra vigilant when they receive unexpected telephone calls, particularly from people claiming to be from their bank.
Never assume a phone call is authentic just because someone knows your basic details for example your name and address. If something feels wrong, then it’s usually right to question it.
Your bank or Police will never contact you by telephone asking you to move money or hand over information about your account.
Do not divulge personal information over the phone unless you initiate the call – If in doubt terminate the call.
