Amber Warning for Wind Saturday 29th January

There is an Amber warning for wind covering parts of the Lothians and Borders, Grampian, Tayside, and Fife and is valid from 0700 to 1500 tomorrow. Please be aware of possible impacts from Storm Malik’s west to northwesterly winds, gusting to 75mph in the most exposed areas tomorrow morning.
Disruption to transport is likely during tomorrow morning and there is a good chance that some power cuts will occur. Property damage is also likely as well as generally dangerous conditions due to flying debris. Please ensure all external items that could be picked up by the wind and cause damage/injury, are moved indoors.

Meeting 18th January Moved Online

In line with the Scottish Govt advice re household mixing, the meeting of ELCC scheduled for tomorrow evening (18th January) in Stenton Village Hall has been moved online and will be conducted over the webex platform.

URGENT – EAST LOTHIAN – MISSING PERSON APPEAL

Police are growing increasingly concerned about the welfare of Dean Conner who has been missing from the Musselburgh area since the evening of the 31st December 2021.

Dean, 37, was last seen in the Links Avenue area of Musselburgh about 1700hrs on Hogmanay walking towards the Promenade area. He was wearing a black hoody/black joggers and white trainers.
