Dunbar Christmas Lights and Parade Road Closures Sunday 25th November 2018

To facilitate the switch on of the Christmas Lights and Parade, Dunbar High Street will be subject to closure on Sunday 25th November.

Dunbar High Street from its northern section to West Port will be closed from 9am to 9pm while Dunbar High Street from Abbey Church to the middle of the High Street will be closed from 5:30pm to 6:00pm.

Emergency Access will be maintained.

Road Closure Dunbar High Street, Sunday 4th November and Sunday 13th January

To facilitate the erection and removal of the Christmas Lights, Dunbar High Street and part of Abbey Road and West Port will be closed on Sunday 4th November2018 and Sunday 13th January 2019 from 7:30am to 4pm.

Emergency Access will be maintained as will access to buses.

SCAM MAIL, DON’T BE FOOLED

Royal mail would like to raise awareness of SCAM MAIL in our community. Royal Mail never knowingly delivers scam mail. They understand the distress that it can cause when received. This type of mail is ILLEGAL and targets the most VULNERABLE in society.

Typically, scam mail involves professional fraudsters sending convincing letters that are designed to trick people out of money and other valuables. It includes bogus competitions and fake draws. It mostly originates from overseas and is unfortunately hard to detect.

Should you be concerned that someone you know is in receipt of scam mail, please contact Royal Mail by:

  • Writing to Royal Mail at FREEPOST SCAM MAIL, enclosing any items that are suspected of being scam mail
  • Calling Royal Mail Scam Mail Helpline on 0800 0113 466
  • Emailing scam.mail@royalmail.com
