Rules for all types of road users have been updated in The Highway Code to improve the safety of people walking, cycling and riding horses.
The changes were made to The Highway Code on 29th January 2022.

There is an Amber warning for wind covering parts of the Lothians and Borders, Grampian, Tayside, and Fife and is valid from 0700 to 1500 tomorrow. Please be aware of possible impacts from Storm Malik’s west to northwesterly winds, gusting to 75mph in the most exposed areas tomorrow morning.
Disruption to transport is likely during tomorrow morning and there is a good chance that some power cuts will occur. Property damage is also likely as well as generally dangerous conditions due to flying debris. Please ensure all external items that could be picked up by the wind and cause damage/injury, are moved indoors.
