Pay and Display Now in Operation at John Muir and Tyninghame Links

pay_and_displayPay and Display parking charges are now operating at John Muir Country Park and Tyninghame Links.
The charge is £2 per day which also allows you to park at any of the other East Lothian beach car parks throughout the same day.

If you are a regular visitor you may wish to pay for an annual pass instead which costs £40. You can I buy an annual pass:

In person
Local Area Offices in Dunbar (Bleachingfield) and Haddington (Court Street). Payment must be made at the time of application. A temporary ticket will be issued and season ticket will follow within 10 working days. They are also available in Musselburgh (Brunton Hall), Tranent (George Johnston Centre), Prestonpans (Aldhammer House), and North Berwick (School Road).

Send your completed application form and cheque made payable to: ‘East Lothian Council’ to: East Lothian Council, Road Services, John Muir House, and Haddington, EH41 3HA. Season ticket will be posted within 10 working days after cheque has cleared.

You must make sure your ticket or annual pass is clearly displayed in your vehicle while parked in any of the beach car parks.

Blue Badge holders are exempt from parking charges.

These are en-suite, unfurnished rooms – two of which are brand new – and are in a family atmosphere house for older people in the centre of East Linton. There is a lift installed.
Heating, lighting, and laundry services are included in the monthly charge as are all meals – lunch and tea are prepared by the housekeeper.
This accommodation is ideal for older people wishing to avoid the problems of maintaining a house, with all the attendant bills, etc. and is affordable by all.
Abbeyfield House has a total of eight rooms.

Tennis on the Road, Haddinton Tennis Club, Thursday August 20th 4:30pm-6pm

tennis on the roadTennis is taking to the roads around Scotland to bring tennis to a new generation of children. Based on the games Judy Murray played with sons Andy and Jamie, Judy and her coaching team will be aiming to give parents, coaches, teachers and volunteers the tools needed to get kids playing the game and developing tennis in Scotland.
