East Lammermuir Energy Projects Stakeholder Meetings

East Lammermuir Energy Projects Stakeholder Meeting 26 February 2024

Over 140 people came along to the public meeting held in Innerwick Village Hall on 26 February 2024.

At that meeting a new website was launched, where you can find information about energy projects and infrastructure developments in and around the East Lammermuir area.  This includes an interactive combined map of all known proposals, and a presentation slide set from the public meeting. Rather than duplicate content, East Lammermuir Community Council will be supporting the updating of the new website at: eastlammermuirdevelopments.co.uk

East Lammermuir Energy Projects Stakeholder Meeting 7 December 2023

The Community Council co-led this meeting with East Lothian Council. This was the third time all known electricity infrastructure developers had come together to talk with us about how they intend to progress their proposals. Twelve community members attended – one each from the settlements which will be most affected by the proposed developments. A further meeting will be held in the last week of February 2024, this time as an open public meeting.

East Lammermuir Energy Projects Stakeholder Meeting 25 October 2023

The Community Council co-led this meeting with East Lothian Council.  This was the second time all known electricity infrastructure developers had come together to talk with us about how they intend to progress their proposals.  Twelve community members attended – one each from the settlements which will be most affected by the proposed developments.  A further meeting will be held in the first week of December 2023.

Developers have undertaken to keep this map updated if any changes are made.  We are working with developers to make sure the up-to-date map is available to view in real time.

Combined maps showing proposed developments

We also have a map of the currently contracted developments that are planned to connect into the proposed Branxton Substation.  Please note most of these cable routes are shown at very high level and will be subject to change during the detail design stage.  It is evident that this map shows more developments than the one above and we are working to establish details of these additional proposed developments.
